Calculator Methodology

Overview

This page explains exactly how the BloxFruitsCalc trade calculator produces its Win/Fair/Loss verdicts. We believe every trade decision should be backed by transparent math. Unlike tools that show only a verdict, we show you the ratio, the explanation, and the demand modifier so you can judge for yourself whether to trust the output.

The calculator operates in four sequential steps: value summation, ratio calculation, WFL verdict assignment, and demand weighting. Each step is described in full below.

Step 1 — Value Summation

For each fruit in the trade, the calculator retrieves its community-agreed base value from our database. Values are numbers (e.g., 8,000,000 for Time fruit) representing relative trade worth. The calculator sums the values for all fruits on each side of the trade.

permMultiplier = 3 if PERM toggle is on, else 1

The PERM toggle applies a 3× multiplier to any fruit marked as permanent. This reflects the community standard that permanent fruits are worth approximately three times the normal version. Both sides of the trade are calculated this way independently.

Step 2 — WFL Ratio Calculation

After summing both sides, the calculator divides your total by their total to produce a ratio:

ratio = yourTotal / theirTotal
If theirTotal = 0 (empty), verdict is WIN by default

A ratio of 1.0 means perfectly equal value. A ratio above 1.0 means you're offering more than them. A ratio below 1.0 means they're offering more than you.

Step 3 — WFL Verdict Thresholds and Why We Chose Them

The calculator maps the ratio to one of four verdicts. These thresholds were chosen after observing hundreds of real Blox Fruits trades to understand what the community considers fair versus imbalanced:

WINratio > 1.25

You are offering more than 25% above their value. In standard trading, a 25% premium is considered a meaningful overpay — enough that an experienced trader would notice and accept immediately. Below 25%, the difference could fall within negotiation noise. Above 25%, you are clearly getting less value for your money.

FAIR0.90 ≤ ratio ≤ 1.25

Both sides are within 10–25% of each other in value. Real-world trading has inherent friction: demand differences, personal preference, time pressure, and negotiation overhead. A 10–25% swing in either direction is widely accepted as a reasonable trade in the Blox Fruits community. This is the target range for most trades.

SLIGHT LOSS0.75 ≤ ratio < 0.90

You are receiving 10–25% less value than you are giving. This is a negotiable position — adding one smaller fruit or swapping one item can often correct it. The Slight Loss verdict warns traders without telling them to walk away entirely. Sometimes accepting a slight loss for a high-demand fruit you need is the correct decision.

LOSSratio < 0.75

You are receiving more than 25% less value than you are giving. At this level, the trade is materially unfair. Accepting it without significant reason (e.g., desperately needing a specific fruit for a raid) is not advisable. This level of imbalance is often the result of a scam attempt or misinformation about values.

Step 4 — Demand Weighting (Demand Win Modifier)

Raw value ratio alone does not capture the full picture of a trade. A fruit worth 4M with 10/10 demand is practically more valuable than a fruit worth 4.2M with 5/10 demand — the high-demand fruit retrades almost instantly while the low-demand fruit may sit for weeks.

The threshold of 2 demand points was chosen empirically. A 1-point demand difference (e.g., 8 vs 7) is within measurement noise — our demand scores are not precise enough to meaningfully distinguish adjacent values. A 2-point gap (e.g., 9 vs 7 or 10 vs 8) represents a clear, observable difference in trade liquidity.

The Demand Win modifier only applies when you are receiving the higher-demand fruit (theirAvgDemand > yourAvgDemand). It will not fire if you are giving the high-demand fruit — that would already register as a WIN or LOSS on raw ratio.

Permanent Fruit Multiplier — Why 3×?

The 3× permanent fruit multiplier is not our invention — it is the Blox Fruits community standard that emerged organically from years of trading. The logic is straightforward: a permanent fruit persists through every death and reset, while a normal fruit must be re-acquired each session.

For active players, this means a perm fruit has indefinite use value compared to a normal fruit that can be lost at any time. The community settled on 3× as the equilibrium price — it is high enough to reflect the massive quality-of-life improvement, but not so high that no trades for perms ever happen.

The 3× multiplier is applied uniformly to all fruits. In rare cases, extremely high-demand perms (like perm Leopard or perm Dragon) may actually trade at a slight premium above 3× in practice. Our calculator uses the standard multiplier — use your judgment for truly top-tier assets.

Demand Scoring — The 1–10 Scale

9–10/10
Maximum to near-maximum: Trades close within minutes. Sellers hold leverage and often receive slight overpays. Examples: Dragon, Leopard, Kitsune.
7–8/10
High demand: Trades close within hours in active servers. Fair-value trades are achievable. Examples: Dough, Gravity, Buddha.
5–6/10
Moderate demand: Trades close within days. Some patience required. A fair value offer usually works with enough exposure.
3–4/10
Low demand: Trades can take weeks. Expect to offer a value premium to compensate the buyer for holding an illiquid asset.
1–2/10
Very low demand: Almost no active seekers. Primarily beginner-to-beginner trades. Value exists on paper only.

Data Sources

Our fruit values are sourced from:

  • Multiple major Blox Fruits trading Discord servers (observing completed trade records, not just offers)
  • In-game trade channel monitoring across Sea 1, Sea 2, and Sea 3 servers
  • Cross-reference against other active community value lists to check for outliers
  • Direct community reports submitted via our contact form

Known Limitations

Values are community consensus, not official

There is no official Blox Fruits trading value system. Our numbers reflect what the community agrees on — not a ground truth set by the developers.

Post-update lag

Immediately after a major patch, market prices are highly volatile. Our values can lag community consensus by 24–72 hours while the market stabilizes. Avoid major trades in the first 48 hours after a significant update.

Awakening premiums are not in the base value

Our values reflect normal (non-awakened) fruits. The community adds an awakening premium on top, which varies by fruit and is not systematically tracked in our current database.

Demand scores are subjective composites

Demand scores are our best judgment based on observable signals. They are not the output of a precise mathematical formula. Adjacent scores (e.g., 7 vs 8) may not be meaningfully different.

Regional variation

Different trading communities may have slightly different prevailing prices. Our values are averaged across the overall English-language community and may not perfectly reflect every regional niche.
